My Fashion shoot

I was aiming to do my shoot on monday evening, however due to certain circumstances i could not do it that night, due to this i shot yesterday.

The weather was not that great to be honest, it was raining and quiet windy. I was really worried that i would not be able to get the shots i wanted, however we set off to the location and the rain did calm down a little which was good. By the time i actually got shooting and choosing different areas of the building to use as my backdrop the rain had stopped.

I ended up buying the hat for my shoot from the vintage shop i talked about in a previous post, then i just got my model to wear a long black coat, black tights and black boots. The coat was hers and the black boots were mine so it did not cost me anything apart from five pounds for the hat.

The images below are some of the images i have edited from the shoot that i like the most, however i have not chosen a final image yet.

The only editing that i have done to these images on Photoshop is:

- Levels
- Brightness/Contrast
- Dodge/Burn
- Clone tool

I knew when i was doing the shoot that i was getting the images that i wanted, sometimes on other shoots i have not been as confident that i have got the shots. However this shoot was really good and i felt very confident photographing my model. This is a first for me as i do not usually photograph that many people and i have never really done any fashion photography before.

I have joined the website Model Mayhem to get in contact with models i could use on up and coming shoots. I am definately going to work on more fashion shoots in my own personal time.

I feel as though the images i have taken are really strong and possibly some of the best images i have ever taken!

  1. Hi
As I said the other day, this is a well prepared shoot, good use of props and styling, well done!
Your written work needs to be all about the connotation of this image, for example the open isolated countryside as compared to the urban sprawl of the second image and how its competing with the natural world.
Also the human marking his territory via the graffiti is almost like the early cave paintings of man... etc etc.. plenty to go at here and expand further for your supporting written statement.
